Hi! I’m Amy and I started Dreams Guide in 2022 after many years of exploring what dreams mean and how these symbols can teach us about ourselves.
Have you ever experienced an unusual dream, a recurring dream, or a lucid dream? Over the years, I’ve had so many interesting, profound, exhilarating, and frightening dreams, and I found myself wondering what they mean, why they happen, and what I can learn from them.
While no one knows exactly why we dream, symbolism has been a part of our lives since the dawn of civilization – actually, earlier! We’ve attributed meaning to the stars in the sky, to the weather, to plants and animals of the natural world – to everything. When these elements bubble up from the subconscious and into our dreams, we can draw upon their ancient symbolism to help guide our modern lives.
My goal is to give you insight into the meaning of your dreams by both explaining traditional symbolism and also offering questions and further interpretations to help you unlock the symbol’s meaning to you personally.
About me
I have been fascinated with my dreams for as long as I can remember. As a child, I frequently had lucid dreams and as I got older, I bought many books about dream symbols and the archetypes of Carl Jung.
As a young adult, I had a profound, mind-expanding dream that marked a change in my perception of myself and the world around me. This dream set me on a path that led me deep into the study of dreams, symbolism, sychronicity, self-care, herbs, aromatherapy, and even crystal healing.
After a lifetime of analyzing my own dreams, I decided I wanted to share what I’ve learned and offer my insight into dream symbols of all kinds. No matter how big or small the element is in your dream, it’s there for a reason!
My background
I hold a professional certificate in Dream Interpretation and Journaling. I’ve also earned a certificate in Color Therapy and Chakra Healing and three certificates in Crystal Healing, including one from Virtued Academy International under the instruction of Dr. Krishna N. Sharma. I’m currently working on a certificate in Yoga Nidra and taking a lucid dreaming masterclass, and working towards a diploma in Dream Analysis from The Centre of Excellence.
Today, I spend most days operating a small portfolio of websites in my other area of expertise: food & beverage. I’m an author of two cocktail recipe books and the home bartender behind Moody Mixologist. You can check out my other sites if you fancy a cocktail or mocktail.
